We have a range of offerings to help support the volunteering sector. Please explore the content, and we hope you find something that interests you.
Managers of volunteers are invited to come along to our Network Meetings, held quarterly in the North, North West, and South of the state, as well as online. These sessions are free of charge to members of Volunteering Tasmania .
What to expect:

- Support one another
- Get affirmation that you are doing well
- Hear about new ideas and innovative practice
- Seek and share resources and referrals
- Develop a relationship with your local Volunteering Tasmania representative and receive ongoing follow up and support from the session outcomes
Network Meeting Dates for 2021/22 are:
- September 2021: Topic – Standard 3: Volunteer Roles
- February 2022: Topic – Standard 4: Recruitment and Selection
- April 2022: Topic – Standard 5: Support and Development
- June 2022: Topic – Standard 6: Workplace Safety and Wellbeing
- September 2022: Topic – Standard 7: Volunteer Recognition
This service makes it easier for volunteers and organisations to find each other, and ensure a great match.
Through Volunteer Connect, volunteers can search the database for vacancies, and co-ordinators or managers, like you, can place free advertisements for volunteer positions.
To place a free advertisement, you will need to first register with Volunteer Connect, using the form located on the For Organisations hub page, under the list a role tab.
Once your registration has been processed, you will be sent an email containing your login details. Please be aware that this may take up to a week.
Once your login details have been received, you will be able to list volunteer positions on Volunteer Connect Online.
Volunteering Tasmania run Community of Practice sessions with Volunteer Managers and for Volunteer Programs.
Volunteer Program Community of Practice sessions are running for organisations who received HACC or CHSP funding to explore best practice volunteer management practices, gaps and navigate challenges together. To find out more about these sessions please contact us.
We are delighted to launch our exclusive members-only Volunteer Recognition Program in celebration of National Volunteer Week!
National Volunteer Week (15 – 21 May) is fast approaching. This is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteers.
At no cost to your organisation, we will provide your entire volunteer workforce with personalised certificates of appreciation – whether you have 1 or 5,000 volunteers, we can help you recognise them all!
The ordering deadline is Monday, 13 March 2023 at 6pm.
