Most definitely.
A Conflict of Interest process is in place throughout judging to keep the Tasmanian Volunteering Awards fair and equitable.
There is no limit, however each nomination must be made on a separate form.
Individuals and groups/programs can be nominated across multiple categories, however, these nominations will be forwarded to the individual/group/program to decide which nomination they would like to proceed with and in which category.
No individual or group/program can be judged in more than one category. For their nomination, they will receive a certificate of appreciation for the category they are nominated within.
The Community Care and Health Award.
All online nominations will be acknowledged by email on submission. If you do not receive an automated email, please email award@volunteeringtas.org.au.
No. We need your name and contact details in case your nomination gets to the finalist round.
Yes. It is a condition of entry that you have informed the nominee. Please do not nominate someone if they have asked you not to.
Please note that you will also be required to provide contact details for the nominee as part of your nomination form. We also suggest talking about the questions with them – they may be able to offer some extra information.
We suggest that you get the person you are nominating’s correct spelling of their full name and email address and confirm their mobile number.
If a volunteer group or program earns money for products sold, services performed or fundraising activities, then this income must be banked by a not-for-profit organisation, a government organisation (e.g. a local Council) or donated to a charitable cause, including, but not limited to, the continuation of the volunteering program. Third-party evidence may be requested for volunteer programs or groups that get through to the final round.

Yes. Please re-do your nomination form, then send us an email to tell us to replace your first nomination with your new one. In your email, please give us your contact details and the category you had nominated under so we can find your first nomination easily. Our email is: award@volunteeringtas.org.au
No, unfortunately not. Our Terms and Conditions state that nominees who make it to the finalist round must agree in writing that they are eligible and the nomination is an accurate representation of their voluntary work, volunteer role or volunteer program.
