We thank everyone who has signed up for this program.

We are no longer recruiting volunteers for this particular program.
However, there are many other ways you can help people in aged care.

Community Visitors Scheme (CVS)

The Community Visitor Scheme (CVS) is a national program whereby volunteers offer friendship and companionship to older people who are lonely or socially isolated and are living in the community and receiving a Home Care Package or living in government subsidised residential aged care. Regular visits from a CVS Volunteer can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. If you are interested, and for more information on becoming a CVS Volunteer, please email CVS@lifelinetasmania.org.au

LGBTI older people Visitor Schemes

Visitor schemes are social support programs that provide LGBTI older people with visitors to reduce social isolation or loneliness and increase community connection. Working It Out (WIO) provide a CVS program, please visit: About Us – Working It Out Inc. or contact Tracey@workingitout.org.au
